Renew Your Licence

**REMINDER**
Provisional Electrical Contractor Licences will only be renewed up until December 31, 2010

 

Renewals cannot be completed over the phone.  Incomplete renewals will be returned to you for completion.

The Licence Renewal Application Form will be sent out to you in the mail 90 days prior to your licence expiry date.  A Licence Renewal Reminder Notice will be sent out to you 30 days before your expiry date.

5-10 days before your licence expires our agents make a reminder call as a courtesy that your licence is coming up for expiry.

In addition to these notices, 15 days after your licence has expired, your licence and permits are blocked and we send out a notice to you indicating your licence has expired.

When renewing your Master Electrician Licence you must include:

  • All three pages of your renewal form
  • The “yes” and “no” questions must be answered on the form and it must be signed and dated
  • Any changes of information in Part A of the form
  • A renewed copy of your C of Q, CTECH, CET or PENG must be submitted
  • The renewal fee of $75 ($84.75 HST included) for one year or $150.00 ($169.50 HST included) for two years.
  • If your renewal is late, you have to include the late fee of $25.00 ($28.25 HST included) with your licence fee payment.
  • If you are making payment by credit card, you can send your renewal by fax to 1-888-251-7377.

When renewing your Electrical Contractor Licence or Provisional Electrical Contractor Licence you must include:

  • All three pages of your renewal form
  • The “yes” and “no” questions must be answered on the form and it must be signed and dated
  • Any changes to the information in Part A of the form
  • A renewed copy of your/an employee’s C of Q must be submitted
  • A renewed Certificate of Insurance showing coverage of $2 million general liability coverage
  • The renewal fee of $365 ($412.45 HST included) for one year or $730.00 ($824.90 HST included) for two years.
  • If your renewal is late, you have to include the late fee of $25.00 ($28.25 HST included) with your licence fee payment.
