Appeals Process
The ESA established an appeals process that Licensed Electrical Contractors and Master Electricians or applicants for these licences can utilize, if they choose to appeal a Notice of Proposal issued by the Director of Licensing and Certification or by the Authority. Ontario Regulation 187/09 is the appeals regulation which supports the process that has been established to accept and process appeals.
If you are considering appealing your decision, please take a moment to look at the documents below under “Review Panel Decisions”. These are some cases that have been presented before the Review Panel (which is the highest step of appeal before filing to Divisional Court) and their final results.
If you would like to file an appeal, please consult the Guidelines for Appeals, Proposals, Notices and Decisions Issued by the Director of Licensing below before doing so.
